The track looks smooth, but it's actually bumpy and letting things follow the track's ups and downs is when things really get down to taking off the grunge. The only drawback I find is hauling it. It is quite heavy and my loco stock has trouble hauling it. My layout is OO, DCC with a 1in 40 gradient on one section.

On those areas that can be cleaned by hand, we use Nevr-Dull Magic Wadding Polish.

WebAug 17, 2011 · The CMX is the answer. I run it around 3 or 4 times a year, and I'm done. I also use lacquer thinner. The car has a needle valve which lets you fine tune the flow rate of your cleaning fluid so you keep the pad damp but don't dribble out any excess. It's well worth the money.
